Finished the music for Bless and Purify tonight. One is never truly satisfied with a creative effort, but it is time to stop tinkering.

Only one more bit to go, perhaps two. There needs to be a counterpart to this work after the main rite, during the closing, to thank and release the directions. The music for that is starting to come to me. Then, possibly, a recessional as a counterpart to the Power of Star opening. No notes in my head for that one yet.

I still need to score this one. It was quite complicated, actually — musically, as a fugue, and lyrically, and technically, trying to ride herd on the synthetic choir. The end result is not too bad, given that it’s entirely pieced-together sound samples.

The score, by contrast, will be cake. All quarter notes. Whew.
